Revised Script

Mood:  party time!
Now Playing:

Mary Mary (Stigmata Mix)

PARTS:
Katie: Clapper person, nurse, scientist
Lauren: Vanna, scientist, "the voice"
Kellie: satisfied customer, scientist
Mikey: scientist, person who comes out with Chris and Matthew
Rebecca: person in the wheelchair, scientist
John: scientist, invalid in a home
Christopher: person who tells Matthew/Igor to fetch him the specimen
Gaby: scientist
Matthew: Igor, invalid

COUCH PARTS: all couch parts are final
Couch: Gaby, Lauren, Chris, Rebeca, and Mikey
Family: Katie, Kellie, John, and Matthew

The whole team races out on the floor. The couch and family get into poition.
Onscreen, black and white countdown with flecks like an old movie (3, 2, 1)
Fifty's style background with a rotating Nimbus 2004 1/2
Grainy 50's sound clip that I can only explain by saying that it sounds like a xylophone glissando as an equally grainy 50's announcer's voice says "Introducing the Nimbus 2004 and a half! It rolls, it navigates, it does the work for you!"
Katie shoves somebod off the arm of the couch and says, "Hey! Quit hogging the seat!"
"Lauren Vanna White" rolls out the wheelchair and displays it as she rolls it in a small circle.
Cut to 7B where we are all in white lab coats scribbling on clipboards and nodding. No adults are in the screen. One person is typing on the computer, someone is taking some printed sheets from a printer, everyone scurries around and generally looks busy. Matthew orders Chris to do something. Matthew is hunched in the back and breathes weird, then hisses, "yessss, master."
The voice continues: "A team of dedicated scientists has been working around the clock using state-of-the-art technology to bring you the finest quality product."
Full-screen shot of the Nimbus 2004 ?
The voice again: "The Nimbus 2004 ? has a fully customizable navigational system to get you where you want to go!"
Rebecca comes out in the wheelchair, looking sufficiently invalid and using various body parts as the voice follows along to navigate the wheelchair.
Voice: "The Nimbus 2004 ? may navigate from a touchpad, a headrest, a foot pedal, or many other individualized places around the chair."
Kellie is giving a customer review while sitting in the wheelchair. As she is shown in various positions, occasionally shown sitting upright and actually talking. The little title thing on the bottom of the screen shows her name and disease. Here is what she says:
"The Nimbus 2004 ? has helped me in so many ways. Before I would get lost in the home or run out of steam halfway to my room. Now, thanks to the wonderful people on the Robotics team, I can just say where I want to go and it takes me there."
Another review with John in the wheelchair and Katie as the nurse. Shown are scenes of them going around the home together while she gives her review. John just sits in the wheelchair and looks sufficiently...um...lacking in mental capabilities.
Katie: the Nimbus 2004 ? has helped John in so many ways. He is one of our children with a slightly higher cohesive age than the rest, so we decided to give him a power wheelchair. In the beginning he couldn't find his way around, but now he just uses his foot to find where to go. Thank you, FIRST LEGO League.
Voice again: The Nimbus 2004 ? uses a localized GPS navigation system with preprogrammed locations to take the user to the place of their choosing. It also operates as a regular power wheelchair. Individual wheelchairs may have privileges restricted or granted according to the main center kept at the nurses' station.
Shot of the nurses' computer as a floor plan of a nursing home is shown with labeled moving dots.
The wheelchair continues to spin until Chris and Mikey comes with Matthew and gives him his Nimbus 2004 ?. He sits down and does a spin.
Mikey: Matthew, how do you like your new Nimbus 2004 ?? Matthew: I love it! Thank you!
Chris: This is awesome! This new wheelchair is so helpful!
Mikey: This isn't just any wheelchair, it's a Nimbus 2004 ? the most powerful wheelchair in the world and the Nimbus 2004 ? is the most capable transportation device for anyone with chronic afflictions!
Onscreen, it recaps all the happy people in their Nimbus 204 ?s.
Voice: The Nimbus 2004 ?. Coming soon to fine retailers near you. Visit nimbuspowerchair.com for more information.
We shoud probably do some family scene here, something really witty and biting..too bad I can't think of anything right now. Suggestions welcome, just comment.
